Congratulations!!! And a huge thank you to Rob and Will for being the absolute best!!! I don't know why you do this -- i don't think it's selfish -- maybe it's just because you love it and the sense of accomplishment that comes with doing it!! And this thing called accomplishment is in our blood and bones as it's been passed down through generations as a very important ingredient to our lives!!! I like Steve's comment (whoever he is) -- and trust that his words of wisdom will stay with you. Again, congratulations and thanks for writing!! And it's important for parents to do cool, amazing, inspiring things so that their kids can brag about them to their friends. It's important for their dads *and* their moms to be amazing, but probably especially their moms. Be your kid's hero.

The whole business with the waking up early and knowing you have to eat but everything being gross, and knowing you have to drink but just being tired of it sounds so just exactly like climbing mountains. It's seriously the hardest part. A long time ago I knew what I could stomach at altitude, but apparently I forgot. Not fun.

Next time, get the IV. Don't screw around. I know you know this, but dehydration like that is no joke.

And, last but not least, holy crap, 50 miles. I can't even imagine. Nice job.Steve Troyernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4066108016896383194.post-51685553595482507672014-10-01T14:03:46.900-06:002014-10-01T14:03:46.900-06:00WOW!!! CONGRATS. my dear!!
